Hello Guys, Welcome to the new How to Guide from Techno Planners. In previews post we show you How to Install Android 5.1 on PC with Windows/Mac/Linux (Dual Boot). Now, Today in this tutorial we will show you how to Install Android 5.1 Lollipop on USB pen drive or portable hard disk.
Pre-Requesting
Congratulations!! You have successfully installed Android 5.1 Lollipop on Your USB Pen Drive/ HDD. Now you can run android by inserting pen drive any time and any where and on any computer/Laptop.
Pre-Requesting
- 2 USB Flash Drive Minimium 4 GB or Portable HDD and 1 USB Flash Drive
- 4GB Free Hard Disk Space for Android installation.
- Android x86 5.1 Lollipop ISO File. Download it from below
- Rufus Boot Maker
Some Issues:
- EFI Not Supported
- GPT HDD not Supported
How to Install Android 5.1 On USB Drive or HDD with Dual Boot
- By Using Rufus, Make a bootable USB flash drive using the ISO image file that you downloaded.
- After that, Restart your PC and boot it from Flash Drive. (Make sure USB to boot first under your system’s BIOS settings)
- Now, From the list just Select Install Android x86 to hard disk.
- Connect your second pendrive/HDD then Select your USB/Hard Disk partition to install it.
- In next step, it will ask for format, You can format the USB drive to ext3 or ext2 partition to get more internal storage or can be select "Do not format".
- Now, You will get a prompts messages to installation of GRUB Bootloader. Make sure to hit on yes.
- Now, another prompt message will ask you to make system /r/w. Hit Yes on this.
- After that, you will get another prompt to install internal space. Use 2047 MB for space, as that’s the maximum supported.
- Restart Your PC
