Tutorial How to install Resurrection Remix V5.5.7 Custom Rom Android 5.1.1 on Asus Zenfone 5. Resurrection Remix is alternative and unofficial custom firmware. Resurrection Remix is more stable, faster and lighter then previews version. First Install TWRP Recovery on your Zenfone. You can also check out How To Install flash TWRP on your Zenfone. Note : - It will clean your internal storage, So please take full backup of your internal memory.
Step 1. Download Rom and GApps from end of post and Install TWRP Recovery on your Zenfone.
Step 2. After downloading both zip, Copy both zip file in your MicroSD Card.
Step 3. Power Off your Zenfone 5 and Go to Recovery Mode (by press Power button when you feel vibrate then press Volume up).
Step 4. It will enter TWRP, first take the backup of your Rom (tick everything), so you can restore if u want to use stock at some point.
Step 5. Now click wipe, Click advanced wipe, Select everything except the MicroSD (be careful).
Step 6. Click the install, choose externalSD, search for those zip, and install Resurrection Remix zip, then install Gapps zip and then reboot your ZenFone 5 T00F.
Step 7. After flashing, you should format (not wipe) data and cache in the TWRP. Then you should reboot to system.
