Pre-Requirement
    • Backup your device data.
    • Make sure your device have at least 40% battery power.
    • Already have USB Driver Installed for Galaxy Tab 2.
    • Make sure USB Debugging is enabled otherwise you won’t able to transfer file between PC and device.

    How to Install TWRP Touch Recovery on Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3100/P3110 Via Odin

    Step 1. Download Odin v3.09 and GT-P3100_TWRP_2.8.1.1.tar.md5 file from end of post.
    Step 2. Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.09.exe along with few other files.

    Step 3. Power off your Android device. Wait 5-6 seconds for vibration to confirm complete switch off.

    Step 4. Now, put the Galaxy Tab 2 in Download Mode by pressing and holding down the Volume Down button and the Power button together. A warning screen will come up; press Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.

    Step 5. Now run Odin3 v3.09.exe as an Administrator.

    Step 6. Now connect your device to your PC using USB cable. You will see an “Added!!” message in Odin’s message box. If you don’t get the same then you should try another USB port.. If that too don’t work then you should reinstall the driver. If you successfully see the “Added!!” message in Odin then you are ready to go in next step. You should also see COM port with a number in Yellow if you successfully added your device.

    Step 7. Click the AP Button, and select that downloaded TWRP_2.8.1.1.tar.md5 file according to your device model number.

    Step 8. In Odin window, make sure only Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes are selected.

    Step 9. Double check everything that we mentioned in Step 7 & Step 8 above. Now, once satisfied hit the START button to begin the flashing process.

    Step 10. Once flashing completed, your Galaxy Tab 2 will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer.

    1. in your video tutorial the twrp file is in zip format..but when i download it from link its not as in zip format..i cant flash the twrp recovery.. each and everytime its shows the same stock recovery..after flashed the file in odin..

      1. Download the twrp from Google play store and than download the latest version in the twrp app and flash it

    2. It´s not working with my device (GT-P3110). After I had installed the TWRP using Odin, appers a green message PASS. But when try to Reboot into TWRP Recovery mode using Volume Up + Power key, then appears the reboot of android. Am doing something wrong?

      2. The GT is replacing the custom recovery by the android default recovery. To avoid that disable the auto reboot on options tab in the Odin. So when the Odin finishes the job it will not restart the GT and you must reboot manually oppening the TWRP by pressing Vol+ and Power buttons together. On my GT If I keep pressing power button the device keeps rebooting over and over again, so I had to release only the power button when the GT logo shows.
        This must be done only in the first boot, after that the device will not be able to revert to the default recovery.

        On TWRP create a backup of your custom rom and also create another backup of Nandroid and EFS and then save on PC.

    3. My Samsung Tab2 not able to connect with USB from couple of month .I tried too many thing to solve this but still same issue. In the case how to update my Andriod version ?
